We are excited to announce that our brand new ready mix plant will be opening in April 2023. The plant will be located at 1550 Veterans Memorial Parkway Van Meter, IA 50261, and a second recycling yard is located just across the street. With the new Van Meter plant and recycling yard, we can better serve the western suburbs including Winterset, Stuart, Adel, De Soto, Earlham, and Redfield.
We would like to thank our team and everyone else involved for their hard work and dedication to the project. Since breaking ground in September, we continue to make progress each day and can’t wait to show off the plant once finished.
Now Accepting Crushed Concrete
While the new plant will not be fully operational for a few more months, we are currently accepting clean, broken concrete at the new Van Meter recycling yard during our extended business hours: 5 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturdays. As a reminder the guidelines for recycling your concrete are as follows:
- Clean, broken concrete needs to be free of excessive dirt or mud
- No asphalt material will be accepted
- No concrete cinder blocks or bricks will be accepted
- No landscaping block will be accepted
